is fundamentally a point of reference.

From that point of reference, one charts, maps, weighs, conceptualizes the secondary characters
and the relationship between the two is potential energy

my point (said before, not yet as clear) is that objects themselves are not topics
the generated relationships of objects are the topics
perhaps this is part of a larger pattern
